Project Portfolio Manager – LBC Tank Terminals – Rotterdam – INGEVULD

LBC Tank Terminals, with its’ headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is an independent operator of midstream and downstream bulk liquid storage facilities for chemicals, oils and refined petroleum products currently owning and operating a global network of terminals with a combined storage capacity of 3.0 million m³. The global footprint consists of 7 facilities located in Europe and America serving over 70 customers, including all major players.

LBC’s long-term strategic direction in defined. The strategic direction is translated into 5 priorities they persue in order to become world leading reference for chemical storage solutions. The 5 priorities are sustainability and CSR, growth, operational excellence, margin improvement and digitalization and automation.

In the terminal in de Rotterdam area, LBC is executing a multi-year expansion project in five phases. Having recently commissioned the 2nd phase, they are now preparing for the third phase. Over time, the terminal capacity will be tripled from today’s situation.

Due to promotion of the current jobholder, LBC is currently recruiting a

PROJECT PORTFOLIO MANAGER

The Project Portfolio Manager reports hierarchically to the European Assets and Engineering Director with a functional line to the Rotterdam Terminal Manager. This is a critical role in the Rotterdam MT, responsible for:

  • Evaluating requests for proposals from new customers and/or for new products for suitability with the existing infrastructure and to define projects and budgets for adaptations to the infrastructure
  • (Manage the) Execution of a portfolio of capital projects, which could be commercial capex, maintenance capex, margin improvement capex projects or expansion capex projects
  • Manage a technical team appr. 15 professionals, e.g. project managers, engineers, field supervisors, safety inspectors, QA/QC inspectors, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with LBC project management standards, policies and procedures
  • Following up and keeping records of Portfolio KPI’s
  • Providing steering committee reporting
  • Cooperating with the purchasing manager and presenting tender board proposals
  • Managing the Portfolio financials, internal resources and contractor’s execution teams
  • Strategy deployment and priorities

Profile candidate:

  • At least 10 years of experience in tank terminals/storage industry or the (petro)chemical industry, in a similar role
  • Technical / chemistry/ engineering degree at University level
  • Proven track record in leading a technical team
  • Pragmatic, self-starting, can-do mentality
  • Excellent communication (Dutch and English) and leadership skills

VTTI, based in Rotterdam, is looking for a Project Manager. The Projectmanager will be active in managing a diverse portfolio of projects from feasibility until hand-over. Working on a Dutch-based contract, the PM can be deployed on projects in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp.

We are looking for a experienced ProjectmanagerManager with a strong background in engineering and project execution and strong communication skills on all relevant levels.

Technical Manager – Alkion Terminals – Amsterdam – INGEVULD

Alkion Terminals owns and operates a network of 10 tank terminals, strategically located in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. In close cooperation with and understanding their business and strategic interests, they provide solutions in storage and supply chain-management for petrochemical (liquid) bulk products throughout Europe. Alkion Terminals invests continually in its terminal assets to meet commercial excellence expectations by improving the infrastructure and operational capabilities.

The Alkion terminal in Amsterdam (ATA) is located in the harbor in of Amsterdam on the North Sea Channel. ATA has a wide variety of tanks divided across three tank pits, with a total storage capacity of 74,000 cubic meters. The next couple of years ATA will invest in further expanding the capacity by building new tanks.

TECHNICAL MANAGER

  • Budget input leveren op gebied van onderhoud en projecten

  • Bewaken/bijsturen onderhoudsstrategie
  • Controle en beheer onderhouds- en inspectieschema’s
  • Input en beheer van het opex en capex budget
  • Dagelijkse opvolging van technische issues
  • Leveren van input als MT lid
  • Onderhouden van contacten met leverancies
  • Uitdragen en Uitvoering geven aan preventiebeleid
  • Vastleggen van nearmiss rapportages en incident meldingen

Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Eindverantwoordelijke voor preventief en correctief onderhoud
  • Signaleren van afwijkingen, en mogelijke verbeteringen
  • Budgetverantwoordelijk voor uitgaven in onderhoud en projecten
  • Begeleiden in- en externe audits
  • Direct leidinggevend aan Maint. Coördinator, indirect aan operators
  • Waarborgen compliance aan wet- en regelgeving
  • Jaarlijkse KPI doelstellingen behalen

Functie eisen

  • HBO werk- en denk niveau
  • Minimaal 5 jaar gerichte ervaring in tankopslag of petrochemie
  • Bij voorkeur kennis op gebied van tankopslag (PGS, EEMUA, etc)
  • Communicatief en sociaal vaardig
  • Flexibel
  • Analytisch
