It is essential for GIDARA Energy to develop deep understanding of the current regulatory framework driving demand for renewable fuels and chemicals today. Also, they need to anticipate, monitor and interpret future regulatory changes impacting their products to manage challenges and opportunities.

Policies and laws impacting feedstocks and their acceptability and classifications are further important areas for them to comprehend and appreciate.

They will build relationships with relevant authorities and other stakeholders enabling them to support and influence policy making at both EU and key member state level as well as the UK as initial focus areas.

GIDARA Energy is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to become a recognised expert in above mentioned key policy areas impacting their business and to manage the interface with governmental bodies and other key stakeholders.


  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current and future regulations that may impact GIDARA Energy’s products and feedstocks, at both EU and member state level.
  • Interpret that understanding to explain impact on GIDARA Energy’s business and provide timely advise on regulatory requirements and input into business strategy formulation.
  • Oversee the necessary value chain of the products with essential technologies and understands the work processes during the project lifecycle.
  • Provide relevant input on requirements and opportunities for individual plants based on regulatory frameworks applicable to a given location.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities for marketing authorisation and/or interpretations of regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant sustainability certification bodies to ensure that all applicable accreditations are obtained.
  • Gather and evaluate data that has been researched by colleagues from different disciplines including business development and technology experts and provide feedback from regulatory perspectives.
  • Develop and maintain a road map for business development concerning regulations and resulting business opportunities.
  • Explore for and exploit available subsidies that any of GIDARA Energy’s projects may be eligible for.
  • Understand the landscape of relevant industry bodies / trade associations, propose relevant memberships and represent Gidara Energy and its interests in these groups.
  • Monitor and share energy and climate related news.

  • The Chief Commercial Officer of the Company.


You bring the following competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in relevant academic field
  • Additional academic qualifications in process engineering or technical business management is desirable 
  • Minimum ten years of relevant work experience, preferably with producing companies in the energy and/or chemicals sector
  • Working experience and existing network with governmental authorities and regulatory affairs
  • Existing knowledge of relevant EU regulations 
  • Strong analytical skills for interpretation of complex regulatory frameworks to inform business strategy formulation
  • Ability to represent GIDARA Energy before various audiences including public institutions and industry bodies to influence the debate and present GIDARA Energy as a thought leader in its field
  • Basic understanding on life cycle analysis and greenhouse gas emission calculation concepts
  • Excellent written and spoken English, other European languages would be an asset

  • Deliver and challenge shutdown and turnaround scopes.
  • Multidisciplinary identification of bad actors, performance killers and schedule breakers and making proposals for improvements.
  • Provide technical advice and support in case of complex or major technical failures.
  • Lead, perform or participate in root cause analysis studies of complex or major technical failures.
  • Identify opportunities that increase reliability or reduce maintenance costs.
  • Determine an optimal spare parts strategy (what, how much, obsolescence, …).
  • Continuous improvement of work processes (prepare and report KPIs, define and implement actions from results and give feedback).

About the Role:
The Process Technologist Waste Management will help VTTI and local OpCo’s to manage waste streams with coordination and audit oversight of waste management at the different facilities. This person will be responsible for ensuring compliance of hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage areas with all regulatory requirements, ensure proper waste disposal, help to identify recycle/reuse opportunities, and help VTTI develop and implement rules and evaluate compliance with existing and future legislation. He/she is also active in (production) process optimization in order to either reduce waste streams or optimize production output.


  • Evaluation of field, operational and analytical data to assist in determining waste characterizations.
  • Ensure compliance on waste management with local and national regulations
  • Advises and sometimes coordinates at the different facilities in dealing with the management of waste, such as waste collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal, in order to ensure optimal efficiency of operations, improve methods for waste reduction, and ensure compliance with legislation. Advise on the implementation of waste regulations and on improvement strategies for waste management and waste minimization, to increase environmentally sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies regarding hazardous materials and waste stream management


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science/engineering, chemical engineering, natural resources management, physical science, or related field of study.
  • At least four years of experience in hazardous and non – hazardous waste management at a large-quantity generator facility in a highly regulated industrial environment or semiconductor industry.

Doel van de functie

Plannen, coördineren, monitoren, managen en rapporterend over de implementatie van HSSE programma’s en permitting procedures. Business partner voor de board en senior management en leiding gevend aan de HSSE afdeling, e.e.a. in overeenstemming met in- en externe toezichthouders en shareholders. Procurement Officer – Pallas – Alkmaar – INGEVULD

The Foundation Preparation Pallas-reactor (PALLAS) is designing and building a multifunctional reactor for the production of (medical) isotopes and for conducting nuclear technological research. This reactor will replace the current High Flux Reactor (HFR) in Petten (NL) to guarantee the security of supply for millions of patients worldwide.

PALLAS wants to build its future together with Foundation NRG (NRG). They both have the ambition to continue and enforce the Dutch position as a worldwide top producer of radiopharmaceuticals in Petten, 50km north of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. They are doing this with the realisation of the FIELD-LAB (a research facility for the development of new medicines), the new PALLAS-reactor and the Nuclear Health Centre (a new production facility for processing therapeutic isotopes). The diagnosis market remains a spearhead, but the focus will mainly be on innovations and expanding the production chain for therapeutic isotopes. Through the collaboration with various national and international university hospitals and knowledge institutions, Petten is to become a breeding ground in Europe for new nuclear medicine. This results in new treatments that can help implement customised patient therapy.

The Procurement Officer will have a focus on the role of tender process lead. They will assess the contractors, suppliers, providers and sellers depending on factors like price, capability, provisions, safety, security, accessibility, durability, services and purchases of products and services from them (pre-qualification).

This job is a full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (32-36 hours per week) position. The Procurement Officer will report to the Contracts and Procurement Manager.


As a Procurement Officer, you:

o function as the key contact in our collaboration with the contractors, ensuring alignment with all involved parties;

o follow and enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures;

o maintain good supplier relations and negotiate contracts. This includes preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports; collaborate with the contributing organisations and vendors, clearing all the queries on the support of documents and providing the documents at the right time;

o uphold the documented procurement books, files and reports and preserve the documented records of all the vital and key dates;

o administer, manage, handle and direct the important measures adopted for executing the purchasing methods and procedures;
o update on a regular basis the active and present purchasing styles and uphold the purchasing processes as per the policies and modulatory regulations of the business;
o comprehend the requirements of the company and handle the contractors and suppliers accordingly; o update the status of the products and services and investigate the domestic and global providers(Qualified Supplier List (QSL)) to the organisation in order to decide as to what should be procured;
